After stints under star chefs like Jean-Georges, Georges Perrier, and Paul Kahan, Buffalo native Edward Forster returned to the city to bring his top-notch training home. The result is Buffalo Proper, a warm and welcoming eatery invoking Prohibition Era decadence through Forster’s hearty fare and Jon Karel’s meticulously crafted cocktails.

Tickets to events held at the James Beard House cover the cost of food and a unique dining experience. Dinners are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. All alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are not included in the ticket price.
